  English indie rockers Friendly Fires are sleeping on the cross continental flight from the UK to be sure they are well rested when they rock out at Mao Livehouse. The Hertfordshire natives were nominated for a Mercury Prize in 2009 and single “Paris” made “Single of the Week” in the Guardian newspaper, NME magazine, and also on Zane Lowe's BBC Radio 1 show.   Give 1 Fourth of Your Meal for World Hunger Day

  This charity fundraising campaign is being run by the Shanghai office of international NGO Heifer in partnership with 30 restaurants, bars and hotels. On world hunger day, all of the participating venues will give one quarter of their proceeds to Heifer's farming and irrigation project in Xinjiang.
